Students must be matriculated in an undergraduate degree program at Rowan University and must have:
- Earned at least 90 semester credit hours at the undergraduate level
- Achieved a cumulative Rowan undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.000
- Met the required pre-requisites for the graduate course
Graduate coursework completed under the Undergraduate Senior Privilege Policy is billed at the undergraduate tuition rate, recorded on the student’s undergraduate record, and counts toward the undergraduate GPA. Graduate coursework may count as elective credit toward the undergraduate degree or with permission of the advisor may fulfill an undergraduate degree requirement,
Students may transfer graduate coursework completed under the Undergraduate Senior Privilege Policy to a graduate program if applicable. The courses and credits will appear on both the undergraduate and graduate records, but grades will only appear on the undergraduate transcript and will not count toward the graduate GPA.
Applying graduate coursework to an undergraduate degree and a graduate degree:
If available, students may matriculate in an accelerated dual undergraduate/graduate degree (4+1) program. Accelerated dual degree programs permit students to register for a total of 12-18 semester credit hours at the graduate level while they are undergraduates. This graduate coursework is billed at the undergraduate rate and counts toward both the undergraduate and graduate degree requirements. Grades appear on the graduate transcript and count toward the graduate GPA. Students transition to graduate academic and billing status during the fifth (+1) year and complete remaining coursework for the master’s degree.
Eligibility, application, and graduation requirements for each accelerated dual degree program are determined through the curricular process.
