I. PURPOSE 

This policy is intended to:

  1. Ensure appropriate computing resources are available to computing facilities, classrooms, faculty and staff to support the mission of the University.

  2. Ensure Rowan employees who use computing resources have a workstation of sufficient capability to fulfill their responsibilities to the University.

  3. Implement minimum standards for computing on campus.

  4. Encourage planning, cost-effective installation of new workstations, and disposal of old workstations.

II. ACCOUNTABILITY

Under the direction of the President, the Chief Information Officer and the Director of Information Security shall ensure compliance with this policy. The Vice Presidents, Deans, and other members of management will implement this policy in their respective areas.
