The new version of MAC OS X, 10.10 (Yosemite) is expected to be released today, Thursday October 16th, and is currently incompatible with the ClearPass registration system and potentially other services at Rowan.

The purpose of the ClearPass system is to ensure that all computers and devices that connect to the University network meet minimum security requirements before being granted access. This applies to all computers connecting to the University network, even if you have registered your system in the past.

It is recommended that employees bringing a personally owned computer to campus connect to RowanSecure and register through the ClearPass system.

All employee mobile devices that connect to RowanSecure will also be required to register.

Personal computers running any Windows operating system on the Rowan Network must have non-trial, licensed, fully updated Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware software installed.

Rowan University offers a licensed copy of Symantec Endpoint Protection free for student and employee personal computers

RowanWPA and Campus Manager

RowanWPA is no longer available in the Residence Halls as well as RowanSOM and satellite offices. Users will be required to use RowanSecure wireless and the new ClearPass registration system.

RowanWPA wireless and the old Bradford Campus Manager system are still available alongside RowanSecure elsewhere, but will be phased out over the coming months.
