The new version of MAC OS X, 10.10 (Yosemite) is expected to be released today, Thursday October 16th, and is currently incompatible with the ClearPass registration system and potentially other services at Rowan.

Our primary role in Information Resources & Technology is to deliver secure, timely, accurate, and effective service to Rowan University’s students, faculty, and staff. My personal commitment is to support the University’s educational policy, strategic planning, and organizational change. I will continue to do so while encouraging innovation, and improving customer service while reducing costs.

Emerging technologies, security threats, and a growing demand for information technology services create many opportunities, and challenges. We are committed to the University community, alumni, our business constituencies, affiliates and general education community to deliver great services.

The Division of Information Resources & Technology (IRT) has played an essential role in connecting our three campuses into an integrated system, which has provided critical clinical and academic services throughout the University. About Us

Information Resources and Technology (IRT) is responsible for ALL technology services available on the Glassboro, Camden and Stratford campuses of Rowan University. IRT supports University network, email systems, hardware and software support for faculty, students, and administration, data centers, telephones, technology in classrooms, Blackboard learning management system, technology for research and the list goes on.

In addition to also managing the University's data governance and reporting, IRT is home to a unique virtual reality laboratory.

IT Acquisition Policy

IRT has implemented an IT Acquisition Policy and Procedure when requesting any new information technology need, including software, hardware, IT consulting and IT services.

As part of the procedure, a team of IRT managers and staff will then review each request to ensure that all information technology resources purchased within the University are compatible with Rowan’s information technology and in compliance with security requirements and regulations.
